Our story begins in a fraternity house in Windsor. Shirley drinking her GoGo juice and Aaron being himself. We go to talking about books and when Aaron found out that Shirley likes fantasy novels, he ran up to his bedroom and then came back down to give her a book.

From then, we had two formals at which we were neither persons date. However, through the consistent pushing from our friends Michelle and Yousef, we became a couple and had our first date at Taloulah's cafe.

We then survived our first summer as a couple apart, with Shirley working in Ottawa and Aaron remaining in Windsor in 2017. In the summer of 2018, we moved into our first apartment together in Windsor, where Shirley studied her Masters of Education and Aaron studied his Master's of Economics. At the end of summer in 2019, we move to Ottawa and we both began our careers. Shirley as a teacher and Aaron with Statistics Canada.

After that time, we survived the COVID lockdowns of 2020 into 2021, and in 2021 we purchased our first home together in the suburbs of Orleans. Since then, Shirley (somewhat patiently), waited for their engagement, which finally happened in June 2024.

We are excited to welcome friends and family to our next chapter of marriage in 2025.
